Liverpool-based web-design agency, The Social Desk, approached me to write the copy for a website they were working on.
The website was for a care-home group offering respite and longterm residency to older ones. Similar to the homecare brochure I wrote (also in my portfolio), this was a job that could directly impact someone’s wellbeing. So I felt an ethical responsibility to make sure I conveyed the right message in a warm and endearing tone – something that came across to me when speaking with staff.
Here’s a snippet.
Homes that pass the ‘Mum test’
A little bit more about Allandale
The ‘Mum test’ is the gold standard amongst the care community. It requires carers to consider whether they would be happy for someone they love to experience the care they’re providing to someone you love.
As residents and relatives will tell you, staff at both homes pass the test with flying colours.
It’s the willingness of our wonderful carers to go the extra mile in building a rapport with residents and families that sets us apart. That’s what we’ve been doing for over 50 years – and it’s what we’ll do for you or your loved one.
